Parshuram Municipality, Oxfam, and Rural Women’s Development and Unity Centre (RUWDUC), today, jointly organized a Transboundary Flood Early Warning Simulation in Parshuram Dham area under Transboundary Rivers of South Asia (TROSA) project. Bharat Badayer Joshi, Mayor of Parshuram Municipality, Dadeldhura district and Durga Kumari Khatri, Deputy Mayor of Mahakali Municipality, Darchula district were the chief guests for the event.
The simulation exercise was attended by representatives from Center for Ecology Development and Research (CEDAR) and Gramin Development Services from India and members of Women Empowerment Centres from Baitadi, Darchula, Dadeldhura, and Kanchanpur districts, representatives from National Environment & Equity Development Society (NEEDS) Nepal, Rural Development & Environment Management Society (RUDES), and Community Rural Development Society – Nepal (CRDS).
The project is supported by Sida – Styrelsen för Internationellt Utvecklingssamarbete implemented by Oxfam in partnership with CRDS – Nepal, RUDES, RUWDUC, and NEEDS Nepal in Darchula, Baitadi, Dadeldhura, and Kanchanpur districts.
